Club Donates to Hospice of Sweetwater County
Today WCSC donated $1025 to Hospice of Sweetwater County. Thank you Hospice for all the wonderful end of life care you have given to members of our families and for the caring and support shown to the families. You are a much needed part of our community.
$200 Donated to RSAC Spay and Neuter Program
Meet Mushu. Such a loving Mastiff that had to be surrendered. Both Marcia Volner and Leslie Jo Gatti fell in love with Mushu as they stopped to donate $200 to the spay and neuter program at Rock Springs Animal Control. Some pets that aren’t adopted but sent to other shelters and rescues need to be spayed or neutered before being accepted. You can pick a specific pet to help or just donate to the cause. $250 Donated to Care for Critters
Members of Women’s Club of Sweetwater County stopped by the Golden Hour Senior center in Green River and the YAH senior center in Rock Springs to donate $250 to each centers care for critters program. These programs help support seniors who need to pay for veterinary visits and vaccines for their much loved pets. Donations of food have also been accepted. Club Collects Donations for Laramie Project
The club recently collected items for a Laramie project, bras for Free the Girls and socks for stuffing in dog beds at start of GFWCW State convention.
Club Members Support Bingo Funraiser for Fallen Police Officer
In addition to donating a basket, members of our club attended to directly support the bingo fundraiser to raise money for the family of a recently fallen police officer in Sheridan, Wyoming. Club members were happy to support this noble cause and help out this family in need.
Donation Delivered to Rock Springs Animal Control
Today our Club President, Marcia Volner, helped delivered the club’s recent donation to the good folks at Rock Springs Animal Control. Animal Control would like to spread the word about their new sponsorship program, wherein community members not looking to adopt can sponsor the spay/neuter of an animal in the shelter, which ultimately makes them more adoptable.
