The members voted to donate $700 towards the purchase of a refrigerator and an upright freezer for the SFRC. They need them to store perishable foods for those in need. Rushmore furniture is helping by giving us a very good price for them. We need to raise another $700 for this project. If you can help please let us know.
September 14th will be literature group at 333 Broadway in the upstairs meeting room starting at 1:00. Bring a book to discuss or just get ideas for something you might like to read. Books will be exchanged. September 21st is general meeting at white mountain library in the small meeting room. This is a potluck starting at 11:30. Bring your favorite dish and join us. Busy hands will meet on September 28th same time and place as literature. we will be packing bags to donate

Wyoming won awards in their category for Education and Libraries, Environment and Women’s History and Resource Center. Meadowlarks Club in Cheyenne received a Creativity Award. Both the Meadow Larks and Woman’s Club of Rock Springs were recognized for their Junior Special Programs Stick Your Neck Out Projects. Marcia Volner of the Woman’s Club of Rock Springs was the winner of the international award for short story. Congratulations Wyoming

Members of the club had a booth at farmer’s market in Green River for 3 weeks on Wednesdays. They had two dog raffle baskets with items donated from Zubecks, PetCo, T’s Barking Boutique and Horder’s Corner as well as individuals. they also had dog scarves and bows for dog’s collars to sell. Eight book grants of $300 each were given to students attending Western Wyoming Community College this fall and taking at least 12 hours. These students were from both Green River and Rock Springs.
Another buddy bench was delivered. The members donated this bench to Washington Elementary in Green River. Staff and students were very excited about having a buddy bench. One member of the club explained the reason for the buddy bench to the students. This is the 4th buddy bench the club has donated. The other three went to North Park Elementary, Desert View Elementary and Stagecoach Elementary all in Rock Springs.
Our members will be at Farmers Market on Wednesdays from 4-7 PM selling neck scarves and bows for your pets along with dog treats made by members. Their will also be crafts and baked goods for our two legged friends. We have doggie raffle baskets to win. This is all to raise money for Buddy the Green River police therapy dog. The money will help with Buddy’s training, bet bills, food and other needs. We are also collecting items such as coloring books and fidgets

Help us raise money by attending and/or donating to our yard sale on June 12, 2021 next door to 519 A street in Rock Springs. The sale will go from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Help us fund more book grants for students attending Western Wyoming Community College.
