A big thank you to everyone in our community who attended, donated to, or assisted with yesterday’s very successful garage sale fundraiser!
The GFWC of Wyoming, our state level organization, won multiple awards this year. Locally, we were presented with the prestigious Arizola Magnenat award from Wyoming Writers, Inc. This award commemorates individuals or organizations that have encouraged writers in Wyoming. The club was nominated for our “Authors and Artists” events in Laramie and Rock Springs, and for our annual literary contest. Internationally, the state club won awards in multiple categories:
Club members have been saving lids and caps for the White Mountain Library’s summer checkout art project! When kids checkout books over the summer, they receive a lid to add to the community project. Our club once again donated a basket to raise money for scholarships to the Wyoming Writers, Inc. annual conference! This year’s donation was a lovely wine basket!
