Today’s Garden section met with refreshments included pumpkin pie, mixed nuts, and chocolate covered raisins. Christmas cards were finished for the soldiers, Rue Marie Finney shared a stencil that she had completed & the finishing preparations were discussed about the decorating of the library Christmas trees this year.  

𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿: The Christmas cards for our troops will be due at Garden Section ~ If you have cards please bring them (no envelopes are needed).

𝗥𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁-𝗔-𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗲 program has been a highlight of the holiday season for many years & is a wonderful Rock Springs tradition that takes place during the Holiday Season.   This year the 𝑾𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒏’𝒔 𝑪𝒍𝒖𝒃 𝒐𝒇 𝑹𝒐𝒄𝒌 𝑺𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 tree is #86 (by the Sherwin Williams entrance). As part of promoting literature and supporting children’s activities in the community, some of our WCRS members passed out snakes pencils and many other goodies including the popcorn hands we helped make this week. Marcia Volner, Leslie Jo Gatti, Shirley Black, & Connie Gradert handed out the bags of treats at the door.

REMINDER:𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 𝗪𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗦 Entries must be typed, double-spaced, printed on one side only, with minimum margins of one inch on all four sides, on 8.5 X 11-inch paper. Entries must be written during the contest year. Short stories are limited to 2,000 words. Poetry entries can be any style, with a minimum length of eight lines and a maximum of 50 lines. One entry per member per category. Judges will select winning entries (1st, 2nd and 3rd place) in each category at the State Level. Continue reading →
