For this year’s Advocates for Children week, our club gathered donations of items for children in foster care. Thank you to April Dittman, this year’s Junior Special Programs chair, for organizing this donation!
After collecting donations from the community throughout the month of September, our club donated 205 Pounds of food to the “Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen” to help combat food insecurity in Sweetwater County.
We are working to fight food insecurity this month. Look for our collection boxes at both Libraries in Rock Springs and the one in Green River, Family Vision, Joes liquor, Larry’s Hair Salon, High Country Hearing Center and the Mane Place. Food donations will go to the soup Kitchen at the end of the month. They will be used for cooking meals and to give to people who are in need. Our club recently donated two baskets as door prizes for the 49th annual conference of the non-profit Wyoming Writers, Inc.
Baskets for upcoming Alzheimer’s Event Raffles picked were up today.
Today the club made a donation to Western Wyoming Family Planning.
Members came out for the “Power of the Purse” charity event supporting hospice and respite care in Sweetwater County!
Our club’s annual Trash Pick-Up at Exit 107 in Rock Springs was a success! Members also made a donation to the Ray Lovato Recycling Center and shared a meal at Coal Train Coffee together.
The club donated $300 to Children’s Dental Center of Rock Springs to help with needed dental work for uninsured children.
The club made a very fun donation recently to the Bittersweet Bombshells. Great group of ladies who work on teamwork, building conflidence, strength, new skills, inclusion, new friends, support and empowerment to name a few. And did I mention fun! First bout at home May 20th, 6:00 at the Rock Springs Recreation Center.
