Our ladies celebrated Kentucky Derby style at the 2024 Power of the Purse!
The club recently collected items for a Laramie project, bras for Free the Girls and socks for stuffing in dog beds at start of GFWCW State convention.
In addition to donating a basket, members of our club attended to directly support the bingo fundraiser to raise money for the family of a recently fallen police officer in Sheridan, Wyoming. Club members were happy to support this noble cause and help out this family in need.
Today our Club President, Marcia Volner, helped delivered the club’s recent donation to the good folks at Rock Springs Animal Control. Animal Control would like to spread the word about their new sponsorship program, wherein community members not looking to adopt can sponsor the spay/neuter of an animal in the shelter, which ultimately makes them more adoptable.
At today’s meeting our club heard from Michelle Foote, who spoke about the Ray Lovato Recycling Center. We collected donations for Rock Springs Animal Control to help with the recent influx of surrendered animals (23 in one day) including: The club also inducted three new members! Please welcome Storm Adcock, Brenda Roosa, and Lynn Young to our organization!

Our Busy Hands Sections spent a recent meeting helping the White Mountain Library with their Seed Library, but packaging seeds envelopes and their corresponding information sheets! Join us at the next busy hands meeting to help contribute to this and other important local causes!
Our club recently made a donation to a the Rock Springs City Council to help with beautifying the columbarium at our local cemetery.
Every year our club donates 10% of the income generated by our Holiday House raffle to a charity of the homeowner’s choosing. Our 2023 Holiday House hostess Carmen Lakey selected Alzheimer’s as the cause she wanted to support. The club ended up donating $240.
