Our club’s annual Trash Pick-Up at Exit 107 in Rock Springs was a success! Members also made a donation to the Ray Lovato Recycling Center and shared a meal at Coal Train Coffee together.
The club donated $300 to Children’s Dental Center of Rock Springs to help with needed dental work for uninsured children.
The club made a very fun donation recently to the Bittersweet Bombshells. Great group of ladies who work on teamwork, building conflidence, strength, new skills, inclusion, new friends, support and empowerment to name a few. And did I mention fun! First bout at home May 20th, 6:00 at the Rock Springs Recreation Center.
Today we donated $300 to St Christopher’s Highway. This organization helps stranded travelers. Thank you for the work you do.
Today we donated to Project Hope at the Commerce Bank. We presented a check for $350 and in-kind donations with a value of $520. These will help the homeless children in Sweetwater #1 school district including the unaccompanied minors. The in-kind donations were brought to our general meeting on May 16, by our members.
GFWC Women’s Club of Sweetwater County donated to the Art box project in Rock Springs. Power boxes around our community have been covered with beautiful artwork using wraps. WCSC feels this is a way to beautify our community and donated to this project. Thank you Bonnie Cannon and Chris Chewning for accepting our donation.
Members stepped up to donate many items to Project Hope. This is for the homeless children and unaccompanied minors in Sweetwater School District #1. A cash donation will also be made. We enjoyed listening to our speakers from Commerce bank Tiffany Erramouspe and Maggie Smith talking about Project Hope.
On March 3rd, members of our club donated $150 in gift cards for various local stores and gas stations to the YWCA of Sweetwater County Center for Children and Families to help provide assistance to the survivors of domestic abuse. GFWC Women’s Club of Sweetwater County recently presented a check to Hospice of Sweetwater County. We donate 10% of our holiday house raffle proceeds to a charity of our Holiday House host’s choice. The rest of the proceeds from the raffle, crafts, baked goods and entry fees will go to help with our grants to WWCC and many other donations throughout the year.
