Our 𝙂𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙈𝙚𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 was held today at the Rock Springs library in the Ferrero room. The potluck bunch was a wide variety of delicious food! Our guest speaker, Fine Arts Director, Debora Soulé, talked about the importance of youth art and encouraging these young artists. In addition, this is National Youth Art Month. Another inspiring book review at the Literature Section that met today @ the Rock Springs Library on C street. So many books that had their readers not wanting to put them down!
The Literature Section will meet Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 1pm at the Rock Springs Library on C Street. You are invited to join us to share what you love to read. We will then head over to the Child Developmental Center following at about 2:15 to deliver task boxes, books, and a check. Any members wishing to go are welcome.
In 2008, Prevent Child Abuse America introduced the pinwheel as the new national symbol for child abuse prevention through Pinwheels for Prevention®. By its very simple nature, the pinwheel connotes whimsy and childlike notions. In essence, it has come to serve as the physical embodiment, or reminder, of the great childhoods we want for all children. Today, 2 members of the Woman’s Club (Annette Bingham & and Juanita Angeli) planted blue and silver Pinwheels at Head Start (625 Ahsay Rock Springs) to support this Awareness

Our 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 of the Woman’s Club of Rock Springs was held Today, @ 1pm in the Ferrero room at the Rock Springs Library on C Street. Many members attended this very informative meeting. Discussions focused on the important work of bees & butterflies. We have all read news reports about declining populations of native pollinators. Colony collapse disorder, for example, is a major problem for commercial honeybee hives used to pollinate agricultural crops. The problem is complex, and there are multiple factors at work.
