Sweetwater County Women’s club was recognized for a top 10 project in Arts and Culture at the GFWC International Convention in Chicago this year. The project mentioned was the art project decorating the utility boxes around Sweetwater County. We were happy to donate to this project. We love seeing all of the creative artwork on display.
Our own club member, Susan Arguello was recently installed as the state board’s treasurer.
Women’s Club of Sweetwater County recently received 6 creativity awards at the state convention, in addition to recognition for our literature group!

Our club has recently donated baskets to help raise money for numerous charitable organizations across our community! Causes:
Our club put up a pinwheel garden at Headstart to celebrate the right to a carefree childhood.
Our club donated a basket of Broncos items to the fundraiser for the family of the police officer who was slain in the line of duty in Sheridan earlier this year. The club was happy to help raise money to help them through this tragic time.
At our January 16th, 2024 meeting the club presented Elizabeth Pergande with a college grant for WWCC. Best of luck Elizabeth, we’re rooting for you!
Members enjoyed themselves socializing at the annual Christmas party at the Boar’s Tusk Steakhouse in Rock Springs. Club members also exchanged gifts and brought donations of food for the local soup kitchen and toys and books for the local Stuff the Bus program, as a final bit of giving back to cap off the holiday season. We’ll see everyone next year!
